Heart of Birmingham tPCT manages the following services across Birmingham on behalf of the four Birmingham PCTs.

Family planning and contraceptive services; coil and implant fittings; menopause counselling and HRT advice; pregnancy counselling (for termination of pregnancy); vasectomy counselling and operations.

Support to female sex workers (on and off street) for reasons of public health; methadone replacement service; HIV prevention work; housing support; promotion of positive lifestyle changes which may lead to exit from sex work.

Services are for men who have sex with men (gay and bi-sexual) – community outreach work predominantly around the gay village of Birmingham including targeted groups such as South Asian and African Caribbean; counselling, including crisis counselling.

Promotes good sexual health in Birmingham, with a particular focus on young people, ethnic communities and primary care.

Birmingham and Solihull PCTS offer opportunistic chlamydia screening to young people aged 24 or under. Screening and treatment is offered at a number of sites across all 4 PCTs.
